Flexible Payment Options
We believe cost should never stand between you and a healthy smile. We offer multiple ways to make your care affordable.
Financing FAQ
Applying for CareCredit does involve a hard credit inquiry, which may temporarily affect your score by a few points. However, if you're approved and manage your account responsibly, your credit score may improve over time. Many patients are approved even with less-than-perfect credit.
For CareCredit accounts, a missed payment may result in interest charges and late fees per the cardholder agreement. For our in-house payment plans, please contact our billing team immediately if you anticipate difficulty — we will work with you to adjust your payment schedule.
Yes! We accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards for most dental treatments, including preventive care, fillings, crowns, orthodontics, and medically necessary procedures. Note that purely cosmetic treatments like whitening are typically not FSA/HSA eligible.
For large treatment plans (typically $2,000+), we may offer a courtesy discount for payment in full at time of service. Please speak with our financial coordinator to discuss your specific treatment plan and available courtesy adjustments.
Billing & Insurance FAQ
If you have insurance, we submit your claim immediately after your visit. Once we receive the insurance payment (typically 2–4 weeks), we send you a statement for any remaining balance. Uninsured patients receive their statement at checkout or within 5 business days.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash, checks, HSA/FSA cards, CareCredit, and our in-house payment plan. We do not accept Apple Pay or Google Pay at this time.
Absolutely. We provide a written treatment plan with estimated costs — including your estimated insurance coverage and your out-of-pocket portion — before any procedure begins. We never proceed with treatment without your informed consent.
Insurance companies sometimes pay less than expected due to annual maximums being reached, missing documentation, frequency limitations, or alternative benefit clauses. Our billing team will contact your insurer on your behalf to clarify and appeal if appropriate. Please contact us if you have questions about your Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
Yes — patients aged 65+ without dental insurance may qualify for a 10% senior discount on most treatments. Please mention this when booking and present a valid ID at your appointment. This discount cannot be combined with other offers.
We believe everyone deserves access to dental care. If cost is a concern, please talk to us — we'll explore every available option including payment plans, phased treatment over time, CareCredit, and occasionally sliding-scale fees for hardship cases. We'll never pressure you into treatment and will always explain the consequences of delaying care.
We currently accept CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) for patients under 18. We do not accept adult Medicaid at this time. If you are uninsured, we encourage you to ask about our membership plan or payment plan options.
Contact our billing department at billing@brightsmile.com or call (555) 123-4568 (billing line). Please have your account number and the date of service ready. We aim to resolve all billing disputes within 5 business days.
