In 1998, Dr. Eleanor Chen opened BrightSmile Dental with a single treatment room and a simple conviction: that every patient deserves to feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for. With extraordinary skill and an even warmer bedside manner, word spread quickly.
Today, BrightSmile operates two full-service locations across San Francisco with a team of six specialists, 2,400+ active patients, and a reputation built entirely on trust. We've watched children grow up, seen generations of families come through our doors, and celebrated thousands of smile transformations.

Dr. Eleanor Chen
Dr. Chen founded BrightSmile Dental in 1998 with a vision of bringing compassionate, comprehensive dental care to the community. With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in full smile makeovers and family dentistry. She completed her DDS at UCLA School of Dentistry and holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Marcus Okafor
Dr. Okafor joined BrightSmile in 2012 after completing advanced training in aesthetic dentistry at the Pankey Institute. He is a recognized member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has been named a Top Dentist in the region for four consecutive years. His attention to detail and artistic approach has transformed hundreds of smiles.
Dr. Anika Patel
Dr. Patel completed her pediatric dentistry fellowship at Children's Hospital of Boston and is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a certified Invisalign provider. Her warm, playful style is beloved by children and parents alike — she makes every kid look forward to their next appointment.
Lisa Nguyen
10+ years with BrightSmile. Known for her gentle touch and thorough cleanings. Patients request her by name.
